**************19th Jyväskylä Summer School*****************

The University of Jyväskylä, Finland,  is honored to inform You that an
International Summer School in Science and Technology will be organized
during the period 5th-21st August 2009. The Summer School  is held in
Jyväskylä, Finland, within the frame made of breathtaking naturalistic
landscapes and vibrant and active cultural and nightlife activities. The
Jyväskylä Summer School offers courses in various scientific disciplines,
such as Scientific Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Biology,
Chemistry, Renewable Energy. The summer school is intended for advanced
Master’s students, graduate students and post-docs in the various fields
of science and information technology.

The Department of Mathematical Information Technology offers the following
courses in the field of Scientific Computing (including Optimization) given
by world-famous professors:

SC1: Network Flow Programming
SC2: Evolutionary Computing Methodologies for Single and Multi-objective
Optimization
SC3: Large-Scale Nonlinear Programming: Concepts, Algorithms and
Applications
SC4: Intelligent Computing: Introduction to neural networks and their
applications
SC5: Data and Software Security
SC6: Control, Optimal Design and Numerics

The Summer School is FREE OF CHARGE for students and some BURSARIES are
available in order to cover part of accommodation and  travel costs.
