Destination - Melbourne

Melbourne is Australia's second largest city, and one of the great
cities of the world. It is a true multicultural city with more than
one quarter of Melbourne's 3 million inhabitants being born overseas.
Its unparalleled attractions are its gardens and parklands, food
precincts, arcades and great sporting facilities. It is regarded as
the cultural and fashion capital of Australia and renowned for its
fine restaurants. Other nearby attractions include Philip Island
(penguins), the Yarra Valley (vineyards) and the scenic Great Ocean
Road. The conference excursion includes a visit to see Australia's
unique wildlife.
Melbourne is also a perfect starting point for exploring the rest of
Victoria, the Great Barrier Reef and other regions of Australia, New
    Zealand, South-east Asia and beyond.

All members of the OR/MS community are encouraged to participate in IFORS2011!
We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne!
