The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, University of Heidelberg, invites applications for a tenured

                            Full Professorship (W3) in Applied Mathematics.

Applicants should have an eminent research record in "Applied Analysis" with emphasis on "Partial Differential Equations". Experience with applications is appreciated. An active participation in existing graduate schools and the Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) is expected. Further, adequate participation is expected in teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses within the study programs of the Faculty. The general teaching language is German.

Prerequisites for application are a university degree and (in accordance with Article 47, paragraph 2 of the Higher Education Law of the state of Baden-Württemberg) a Habilitation, a successfully evaluated junior professorship or equivalent qualifications.

The faculty intends to increase the number of women in teaching and research; female candidates are therefore explicitly encouraged to apply. Handicapped persons with equal qualifications will be given preference.

Applications with the usual documents (curriculum vitae, description of scientific interests, list of publications, record of teaching activities) should be submitted in paper form (no original documents) as well as electronically (within a single PDF-document) until
