Funding Call for

   SHORT-TERM SCIENTIFIC MISSIONS

available from

   COST Action TD1207:
Mathematical Optimization in the Decision Support Systems
for Efficient and Robust Energy Networks

=====================================================================

As part of the EU COST Action TD1207, http://cost-td1207.zib.de/, we are
pleased to announce that funding for so-called short-term scientific
missions is available for academic researchers and industrial practitioners.

STSMs are exchange visits aimed at supporting individual mobility,
strengthening existing networks and fostering collaboration between
researchers. An STSM should specifically contribute to the scientific
objectives of the COST Action, i.e., optimization problems for energy
applications, whilst at the same time allowing those partaking in the
missions to learn new techniques, gain access to specific data,
instruments and / or methods not available in their own institutions /
organizations. Basically, any researcher and research institution in
any of the 27 participating countries and International Partner
Countries (see

   http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/ict/TD1207?parties

) is eligible. Early Career Investigators (ECI) are particularly
encouraged to apply.

Standard STSMs last from 5 to 90 days and can be financed with up
to EUR 2500 in total, of which up to EUR 160 per day for accommodation
and meal expenses. ECIs can request longer STSM (91 to 180 days), which
can be financed with up to EUR 3500.

Applications for the call are continuously (and quickly) reviewed, on a
first come-first served basis. See

   http://cost-td1207.zib.de/STSM

for further details.

Best regards,

Thorsten Koch (chair)
Antonio Frangioni (vice-chair)
Boglárka G.-Tóth (STSM coordinator)
