Junior Research Scientist Position in Optimization, Portugal

The University of Coimbra in Portugal is interested in hiring 
a research scientist for a two year term in Optimization for 
Data Analysis and Machine Learning.

Potential candidates must have a PhD in Applied Mathematics,
Computer Science or related field (obtained within the last
5 years). A solid knowledge of Mathematical Optimization and
scientific programming languages is desirable.

The position is funded by a research project whose 
Optimization section is scientifically coordinated by 
Prof. Luis Nunes Vicente, and should start in mid Fall.
The gross salary is 44685,48 EUR a year and includes 
Portuguese public-employee social benefits. There are no 
teaching duties associated with the positions, although 
teaching opportunities may be available.
