£32,004 - £38,183 per annum for Research Fellow.
£26,052 - £31,758 per annum for Research Associate (does not require a PhD)
7.5 months fixed term in the first instance (there is a possibility to extend a further 12 months or more).

My apologies for cross-posting.

We are advertising two research positions, a research fellow or a research associate/postdoc position in Operations Research/ Optimisation/ Computational Intelligence for Transport/Logistics.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team working on a project with immediate impact to real-world problems in transport/logistics. For some results we have already achieved in the project, please have a look at http://ukvn-logistics.org/   and http://tiny.cc/IL_success_story .

The required qualification and experience is a degree with good grades (a PhD for the Research Fellow post) in Computing, Engineering or Mathematics or other relevant areas with a focus on operational research or computational intelligence, and a proportionate publication record. The successful candidate should have strong programming skills and experience in working with combinatorial problems and/or discrete-event or multi-agent simulation.

The initial contract is for 7.5 months but there is a possibility to extend a further 12 months or more.
