[Opt-Net] Postdoctoral/PhD position on optimization at the TU Munich

The Department of Computer Science at the Technical University of Munich
(Germany) is looking for a postdoctoral or PhD student working on
computational optimization led by Prof. Martin Bichler (
https://www.cs.cit.tum.de/en/dss/).

Applicants for the PhD position should hold a Master’s degree in computer
science or mathematics and may obtain a PhD degree in computer science.
Applicants for the postdoctoral position should hold a PhD degree in one of
the mentioned disciplines. Applicants should have a strong theoretical
background in convex and non-convex optimization and implementation skills.
Research topics in the group include game theory, electricity market
design, as well as applications in transportation and logistics.

Prospective candidates will assist in teaching courses of the group. Salary
(for both PhD students and postdocs) is according to German tariff E13. The
position is available for an initial period of 2 years, but may be
extended.  Please enclose a curriculum vitae including a complete list of
publications and a sample publication (e.g., a Master’s thesis).
