Call for applications for a fixed-term position (RTD-A) in Operations Research at the Computer Science Department of the University of Pisa, Italy.


The University of Pisa has activated a comparative evaluation procedure for the recruitment of a fixed-term researcher RTD-A, a three years fixed-term position. The research will be developed within the Project PNRR Centro Nazionale 4 “Mobilità sostenibile”, Spoke 10 “Logistica merci” – CUP I53C22000720001. For information on the recruitment procedure:

Short description of the research activity


The research will be on Operations Research topics. Specifically, a line of research will be on developing optimization models and methods to manage electric vehicles in large warehouses, at a tactical and operational level. This line of research will be pursued within Work Package WP6-innovations in logistic/multimodal nodes. A second line of research will be on the proposal of optimization models and methods to Service Network Design, with emphasis on freight consolidation. This line of research will be pursued within Work Package WP5-FaaS (freight as a service).
