[Opt-Net] CPAIOR 2024 Call for Scholarship Applications

Dear colleagues,

The 21st International Conference on the Integration of Constraint Programming, Artificial Intelligence, and Operations Research (CPAIOR 2024) will be held in Uppsala, Sweden, from May 28 to May 31, 2024. Full information is at https://sites.google.com/view/cpaior2024/.

As part of diversity and inclusion efforts, CPAIOR 2024 is happy to provide scholarships to sponsor student presentations. These scholarships are intended to cover part of the costs of attending CPAIOR. The selection of awardees will be based on availability of funds from sponsors, financial need of the student, representativeness, and the relevance of the paper or extended abstract that the student would be presenting at the conference.

While the deadline for paper submission is over, it is still possible to submit an extended abstract. For instructions on how to submit an extended abstract, please refer to https://sites.google.com/view/cpaior2024/call-for-papers.

Instructions for scholarship application: Students who have an accepted paper or have submitted an extended abstract may email a statement of intent to cpaior.dei at gmail.com <mailto:cpaior.dei at gmail.com>. This email should contain the following information:
Confirmation that the student is intended to be the presenter of the paper or extended abstract.
The number of the submission on EasyChair for the paper or extended abstract.
How much (and for what purpose) is needed beyond local resources that the student has (via their university, advisor, employer, or other scholarships) for enabling participation? Clarify how the student’s attendance would not be possible without this extra help.
Whether the student identifies as a member of a group who have historically been underrepresented at CPAIOR, for instance in terms of geographical region, cultural background, gender identity, and disability.
Whether the student has attended CPAIOR before.
The deadline for sending this email is March 9th, 2024 (AoE).

Please note that the deadline for submitting an extended abstract, which is the last opportunity to be eligible for a scholarship, is March 6th, 2024 (AoE).

Selection criteria: The student should have an accepted paper or extended abstract to be considered for a scholarship. Preference will be given to applicants who do not have sufficient means of support, who have not attended the conference before, and who are not as represented as others in the CPAIOR community, as documented in the email that they have submitted.
