A faculty PhD position (40hrs/100%, starting date: Oct 1, 2025) is
available at the Institute of Production and Logistics Management at
Johannes Kepler University Linz, Austria.
We are looking for a colleague who would like to work on topics in
multi-objective optimization and/or at the interface of analytics and
optimization with applications in production, logistics and/or supply
chain management.
== Your qualifications ==
- Diploma/Master’s degree in Operations Research, Business Analytics,
Artificial Intelligence, Business Informatics, Computer Science,
Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience in the application of optimization methods (especially
mixed integer programming) in the areas of production and/or logistics.
- Programming skills (preferred Julia or C/C++).
- Very good command of English (spoken and written) (C1).
- Knowledge of German is an advantage (teaching will be partially in German)
