Journal of Convex Analysis

CALL FOR PAPERS

Special Issue dedicated to Professor Alexander Plakhov
on the occasion of his 65th anniversary

Announcing a Special Issue of the Journal of Convex Analysis in honor of 65th anniversary of Alexander Plakhov, celebrating his remarkable contributions to the field of mathematics, this special issue invites submissions covering a spectrum of topics close to Professor Plakhov's heart, including billiards and optimal mass transport, optimal control, and Optimization, convex geometry and calculus of variations, dynamical systems and mathematical modeling, applications of mathematics in mechanics, the Kakeya needle problem, and others.
The Journal of Convex Analysis, founded in 1994, has published already 30 annual volumes each one consisting of 4 issues. The journal is abstracted and indexed in Mathematical Reviews/MathSciNet; Scopus, Science Citation Indexes of the ISI; Zentralblatt MATH/Mathematics, and other scientific databases.
The papers submitted will be considered as potential full-paper publications in this Special Issue subject to peer reviews, and should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All submissions will be refereed with the same standards as leading international journals. The main criteria for acceptance are the quality and originality of the contribution.
Prospective authors should contact the editors for the style file of the JCA.

Important Dates:
Submission deadline for papers: July 30, 2025

Tentative date of publication: July, 2026

Announcement 2.

Journal of Industrial and Management Optimization<https://www.aimspress.com/journal/jimo>

Special Issue: Advances in Continuous Optimization and Machine Learning for Industry, Operations Research, and Management
Guest Editor

Prof. Tatiana Tchemisova
University of Aveiro, Aveiro, Portugal
Email: tatiana at ua.pt<mailto:tatiana at ua.pt>

Manuscript Topics

Continuous optimization, combined with machine learning, is rapidly transforming industries, operations research, and management by offering innovative solutions to complex, large-scale problems. While continuous optimization remains fundamental to resource allocation, cost reduction, and system efficiency, machine learning provides powerful tools for data-driven decision-making, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling. This special issue aims to explore the intersection of these two fields, highlighting how the integration of optimization techniques with machine learning algorithms can enhance performance and foster new capabilities across various sectors. We invite contributions that showcase novel applications, methodologies, and case studies demonstrating the synergy between continuous optimization and machine learning in areas such as industrial process optimization, supply chain management, predictive analytics, and strategic decision-making in management.
