Recent research in continuous nonlinear optimization with close connection to applications is particularly welcome. Experience with carrying out third-party projects (German Research Foundation, European Union, German Federal Ministery of Education and Science) is indispensable. The TU Braunschweig (TUBS) attaches importance to excellent teaching. Responsibilities encompass lecturing in the bachelor and master degree programs “Mathematics” and “Mathematics in Finance and Industry” with focus on mathematical optimization as well as adequate participation in teaching mathematics for students of other disciplines.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText><span lang=EN-US style='color:black'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText><span lang=EN-US style='color:black'>The TUBS was founded in 1745 and currently takes care of more than 14,000 students. The core disciplines Engineering and Natural Sciences are closely connected to Economics, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. The TUBS is a member university of the „Niedersächsische Technische Hochschule (NTH)“. Therefore, the vacant professorship is assigned to the NTH.
