Metaheuristics are a family of optimization methods<b> </b>that
can be useful to solve a wide variety of problems. Their
modularity, their capacity to manipulate a huge mass of data and
their ability to manage <span style="font-size: 12pt;">uncertainties
give them a lot of assets for tackling the hard optimization
problems that can play a role in the supply chain management.<br>
