</span></b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">While the project addresses a broad spectrum in optimal control of PDEs, it also focusses on some of the most pressing topics: Non-smooth, non-convex optimal control and computational techniques for feedback
control. Applications include the bidomain equations, which are the established model to describe the electrical activity of the heart.

</span></b><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt">Doctoral degree in a mathematical branch of study. Solid knowledge in numerical analysis and in applied mathematics, including PDEs, with specialization in either analytical or computations techniques.
Specialization in optimal control, calculus of variations, or optimization is very welcome.
