[Scip] Increasing maximum depth

Dear Timo, Ambros and Gerald,

Many thanks for your comments. I saw that scip can write the problem
to a GAMS file. I have attached it, in case this is a convenient
format for people in the list.

The bounds on my variables are as tight as I can make them. Of my 19
variables, 18 correspond to the 2D coordinates of 9 points. The last
variable corresponds to the area of a triangle contained in a polygon.

The bounds for the 18 variables are the bottom left and top right
vertices of a rectangle around a polygon that I now contains the
points I'm looking for.

The bounds for the last variable are 0 (minimum area of a triangle is
0), and the area of the polygon (the triangle has to be completely
contained within the polygon). I could improve the upper bound by
computing the area of the largest triangle that can be inscribed in
the polygon, but this would be quite a bit of work (implementing the
following paper), and I'm not sure it'd be worth it

Each of the 19 quadratic constraints is of the form x' * Q * x + l' *
x, where each Q can have one of three basic forms below, padded with
zeros so that they are 19x19 matrices, and with some row swapping :

These matrices are not positive semidefinite, so the Q matrices aren't
either, and the problem is not convex, right?

Something I though is that maybe the matrices can be relaxed so that
the problem becomes convex, as Timo suggests. A colleague, Fred
Hoffman, pointed me in the direction of convex relaxation, of which I
don't know much. But first I wanted to try your advice trying to
tighten the bounds.

For my current problem, in fact, as long as I get a feasible solution,
I'm not too bothered about whether it's optimal. So is it possible to
make SCIP stop after the primal bound? Will that always provide a
feasible solution if a feasible solution exists?
