[Opt-Net] Two temporary postdoctoral positions on Variational Analysis and Applications in Optimization

The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences announces
two temporary postdoctoral positions on Variational Analysis and Applications in Optimization

The successful candidates will conduct research in variational analysis, with a particular emphasis
on its applications in optimization. This research may include topics such as non-smooth and set-valued analysis,
differential geometric methods, numerical approximation methods, regularity theory for optimization problems. Special attention will be given to applications in optimal control for ODE and PDE problems.


The duration of the positions is 12 months with starting date June 1, 2025 or later. Extension is possible. Working language is English. The net salary is above 1900 EURO per month. The first consideration of  candidates will be done on May 9, 2025. Applications will be accepted as long as the positions are filled.
