SIEMENS Corporate Technology  invites for application for a

Research Scientist (f/m) - Discrete Optimization at the earliest opportunity.

Job description
*       Implementation, acquisition and management of research and development  (sub) projects of in the field of in the industrial applications
*       Design of innovative technologies, algorithms and applications from an idea to development of prototypical software systems
*       Development of competence in and evaluation of new technologies in the field of Mathematical Optimization / Operation Search
*       Initiation, participation in and co-management of research projects funded by relevant national and international funding bodies
*       Technology consulting and technical presentations
*       Development of invention disclosures and publication of research results at international conferences
*       Supervision of PhD, Master and Bachelor students and trainees.
*       Initiation and coordination of cooperation with national and international universities and research institutes

Qualification
*       Successfully completed university degree (PhD degree) in computer science or mathematics;
*       Strong expertise in technologies, algorithms and methodologies in the area of discrete optimization, mathematical optimization
*       Expertise in software development and good programming skills in particular C #, or C ++
*       Experience with project work in the research and development area
*       Strong presentation and communication skills
*       Knowledge of technologies, algorithms and methodologies in the areas of non linear optimization, stochastic optimization  is advantageous
*       Very good English and German (desired) skills in speaking and writing
*       Initiative - ability to change - result orientation , communication and team spirit - motivation and enthusiasm
