CALL FOR PAPER: Optimization for Railway Industry - ORI  at the 8th International Conference on Applied Operational Research - ICAOR 2016, 28-30 June 2016 Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The ORI workshop will take place in conjunction with the International Conference on Applied Operational Research. We invite you to join your colleagues for this international forum. Sharing of ideas, knowledge and experience is the primary goal of the workshop. The meeting would be ideal for young researchers to present their work, even at a preliminary stage, for constructive discussion and feedback. The workshop covers the general area of optimization for Railway Industry with particular emphasis on real-world applications, including, but not limited to:

  *   Real-time dispatching and re-scheduling
  *   Delay and disruption Management
  *   Platforming and Timetabling
  *   Track allocation
  *   Marshalling Yard Operations
  *   Shunting optimization
  *   Crew Scheduling and re-scheduling
  *   Capacity and infrastructure planning
  *   Line planning
  *   Revenue management
  *   Runway sequencing
  *   Simulation of railway systems



Paper Submission

Researchers wishing to contribute to the conference are invited to submit manuscripts of not more than 6 pages in MS Word either as full papers or extended abstracts. All submissions will be reviewed by at least two referees and successful papers will be included in the conference proceedings, which will be published in the Lecture Notes in Management Science series. Please use ICAOR-template<http://www.orlabanalytics.ca/icaor/icaor_template.pdf> when preparing your manuscript for submission. Papers should be submitted in MS Word via email to icaor at orlabanalytics.ca<mailto:icaor at orlabanalytics.ca>.
